The Center’s Business/Civic Leadership Forums select proven, seasoned leaders from throughout the region. Our Forums challenge participants to uncover and understand the complexities and connections of our most pressing civic concerns. The Center has graduated 621 leaders, half of whom are ethnic minorities, and more than one-third are women. It is succeeding at enriching Houston’s diverse business/civic leadership and in making sure that Houston’s leaders are informed and engaged in creating a better future for our region.
The Leadership Forum consists of two professionally facilitated workshops with self-organized, small group “learning journeys” held between sessions. Learning journeys are opportunities for participants to discover, explore, research and refine issues about which they have a passion or about which they wish to learn.
After a Forum is completed, the Center works to support the successful implementation of Graduates’ action plans. Ideas and issues addressed in forums can be integrated into the Center’s larger strategic plans. The Center also connects Forum Graduates with each other and with strategic business and community partners.
As a Graduate, you have the privilege to nominate someone for the Forum. If you know someone in your business, church/synagogue or social network that you think would be a good candidate, please contact Claudette Harvey at 713-844-9325 or via email at charvey@futurehouston.org.
